Grain & Gather, hosted by Woodgrain Custom Builds and Brau Brothers Brewing Co., is a free monthly woodworking event in Marshall, Minnesota. The first gathering will take place Monday, September 28, 2026, from 7:00–9:00 p.m. at Brau Brothers Brewing Co., 1010 E. Southview Drive in Marshall.
What Is Grain & Gather?
Grain & Gather is a casual community gathering where woodworkers and woodworking enthusiasts can talk shop, share projects, exchange ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another.
Working on something you’re proud of? Bring photos and tell us about it. Stuck on a project? Bring your questions. Never picked up a chisel but interested in learning? Come join the conversation.
Furniture making, cabinetry, carving, turning, restoration, DIY projects, and just about every other kind of woodworking are welcome. There are no dues, no competitions, and no experience requirements. The goal is simply to bring together people from Marshall and the surrounding area who enjoy making things with wood.
When and Where Does Grain & Gather Meet?
Grain & Gather meets from 7:00–9:00 p.m. on the last Monday of each month at Brau Brothers Brewing Co. in Marshall, Minnesota, beginning September 28 and continuing through April 2027.
Upcoming gatherings are planned for September 28, October 26, November 30, December 28, January 25, February 22, March 29, and April 26.
Do I Need to Register?
No. Grain & Gather is free, and no registration is required. Just show up, grab a seat, and join the conversation. All ages and experience levels are welcome.
For Woodgrain Custom Builds, the event is a natural extension of a larger goal: sharing woodworking knowledge and serving as a resource for people interested in the craft, not just those looking to commission a project.
